Our new pediatric wing was built from the ground up for children β every chair, every color, every interaction designed to turn dental visits from something kids dread into something they actually look forward to.
Every Age, Every Stage
Our pediatric wing is equipped and staffed to handle dental care at every stage of childhood development.
First dental visit by age 1. We make it gentle, educational, and quick β for both baby and parent.
Ages 2β5. Building positive associations with dental care before anxiety has a chance to take root.
Ages 6β12. Preventive care, sealants, and monitoring development as adult teeth come in.
Ages 13β17. Wisdom tooth monitoring, orthodontic referrals, and transitioning to adult care.
Inside the Wing
We didn't just add some cartoon posters to a regular exam room. Every design decision in our pediatric wing started with one question: what would make a child feel safe and welcome here?
Each treatment room has its own adventure theme β from ocean to outer space β chosen by kids to feel like an exploration, not a procedure.
Ceiling-mounted screens and tablets keep kids engaged and relaxed throughout their visit. Less fidgeting, better cooperation.
For anxious children or more complex procedures, gentle nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is available to ease nerves safely.
Sticker charts, prize boxes, and certificates for brave visits. Every child leaves knowing they did something great.
Meet the Specialist
Dr. Chen is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and leads our new wing. His training focused specifically on child development, dental anxiety, and behavioral guidance β meaning he doesn't just know how to fix teeth, he knows how to work with kids.
He uses what's called the "tell-show-do" technique: he explains everything in kid-friendly language, shows them exactly what will happen, and then does it. No surprises. No fear. Just trust.
"My goal for every child is that they leave here wanting to come back. If I can make this place feel safe and fun, I've done my job."
β Dr. James Chen, Pediatric Specialist
What to Expect
Walk into a waiting area designed for kids β toys, books, and a play corner. We keep wait times short. Check-in takes two minutes.
Dr. Chen meets your child in the waiting room first, gets on their level, introduces himself. No rushing to the chair. The exam happens when your child is ready.
A thorough but gentle age-appropriate exam. For very young children, parents hold babies during the exam β we believe your presence is part of the treatment.
Dr. Chen takes time with you afterward to explain exactly what he found, what it means, and what to watch for. In plain language, not dental jargon.
Prize box. Sticker. Certificate of bravery. Every visit ends with something to celebrate, however small the triumph was.
Ready for the First Visit?
New pediatric patients are welcome. We recommend first visits around age 1 or when the first tooth appears β but it's never too late to start. Call us or send a message and we'll get your family on the schedule.
